Cameo apperance: Chesterton

This is not the quote I had in mind when I picked up my copy of Orthodoxy five minutes ago, but it will do anyway:

"It is possible that God says every morning, 'Do it again' to the sun; and every evening, 'Do it again' to the moon. It may not be automatic necessity that makes all daisies alike; it may be that God makes every daisy separately, but has never got tired of making them. It may be that He has the eternal appetite of infancy; for we have sinned and grown old, and our Father is younger than we."

I was looking for something about madmen and breaking the spell of monomania, since I've been in a bit of a mood lately, but I like this quote, too.

By the way, most of the beans on my desk are growing beautifully, in silence, reaching toward the light of the window. Some aren't quite making it, though, but that's the way of things, I guess...One of these days I might    a) take them outside on a field trip to get some real sun and/ or b) ask Mommy if I can plant them in the garden when the time comes.

And the clouds are quite spectacular today, too...constantly moving...it must be really windy up there! But there is still plenty of blue sky, smiling at me!

Praise be to God for the gift of my life!
